News Release – For Immediate Release
P.U.P.S. of Lewes – Pawsitively Unique Pet Shop – announced today that they will be conducting a basic obedience dog training course that is geared for dogs and their parents who are interested in learning the elements of training that are necessary to complete the American Kennel Club’s Canine God Citizen Certification.
To get started, owners must enroll their dogs in the course taught by Lesley Bowers, AKC recognized trainer and evaluator. Classes begin on October 17th and are held in the Bethel UMC Fellowship Hall. This is a six week course and includes such training as a reliable and sustained “sit” and “down”, the critical “come” and “stay” as well as walking on a loose lead through a crowd of people and dogs. The program is open to all dogs. Owners must bring a copy of their dog’s current veterinary records with them to the first class.
On the last day of class, instructors will administer the highly recognized Canine Good Citizen (C.G.C.) test. This certification recognizes and promotes good and responsible dog ownership and well -mannered dogs.
